When we first saw the lions they were asleep and it wasn't very exciting as you can see. But later in the afternoon they woke up and sat around for a while.

These two are about to take part in an interaction with a giant ball attached to a rope. I'd have to say the best part of the day was when we saw these interactions. Check out these shots of the lions playing with the ball.

If I remember correctly the zoo people put a scent on the ball and that's why they keep grabbing at it and went at it for quite a while. This lion looks like he lost his head.

I ran out of film after this shot, I wish I had more because these two lions were really active compared to what they were doing the rest of the day.
